The fish illustrated is a male stoplight parrotfish, Sparisoma viride. The female is
brown and red. Stoplight parrotfish live in the tropical waters of Bermuda, Florida, the
Bahamas and the Caribbean. The West Indian community eats them in North
America. They grow to a length of over 1 1/2 feet.
