This edition of Bodmer's America, the complete collection of all eighty-one engravings illustrating Prince Maximilian of Wied-Neuwied's travels in the interior of North America from 1832 to 1834, is the first to be issued in colour from the original plates since the Prince's own edition published between 1839 and 1843.

The edition is limited to one hunded and twenty five numbered sets with an additional ten sets 'hors commerce', and is published by Alecto Historical Editions, in association with the Joslyn Art Museum.
