[W&M]
335 x 501 mm
Bauer has painted this bird perched on a branch with its wings raised, perhaps about to fly away,
or to show its pretty colouring. It was caught on North Island in the Sir Edward Pellew Group, Gulf
of Carpentaria, Northern Territory on 18 December 1802.
Today, the Red-winged Parrot has a fragmented distribution across Australia.
